Welcome to Eagle Creek

The nourishing Waters behind A Wild New Work

Eagle Creek is a community of people who make it possible for my work to flow more freely.

A source of spiritual renewal for all those who are tired of wandering alone in the arid landscape of capitalism, Eagle Creek is a place where you can wade deeper into ideas about seasonal living, land connection, and folk magic so that you can follow the callings of your ancient soul.

How it works:

People who feel that this work is needed in the world become members by contributing a monthly or yearly amount that makes it sustainable for me to create the A Wild New Work podcast, write weekly essays that are freely available to all, and offer workshops and classes at a reasonable price.

What Eagle Creek offers you:

Seasonal living, land connection, and folk magic are the primary Waters of renewal that you'll be offered in Eagle Creek, because I know that when we're tapped in to those three sources of support, we can find our way into what's meant for us. All of the member benefits offer you a way to deepen your learning in each of these realms:

  • Monthly "Behind the Scenes" updates from me about what I'm working on and how it's going

  • Free registration for my monthly seasonal classes to help you align with the rhythms of the landscape around you

  • A 15% discount on anything in the Shop, including the Living the Seasons journals

  • Guided visualizations that you can use to gain deeper insights into your purpose and journey

  • Special seasonal projects and series as they flow in, some of which will eventually be offered to all via the A Wild New Work podcast and my weekly newsletter

What Your Eagle Creek Membership Offers the Collective: "Unlocking the Commons"

When you step into Eagle Creek, you access a place to rest beside cool and calming Waters, where you can remember who you are and how best to live in these times. Your presence in Eagle Creek also keeps these nourishing Waters flowing freely for all who need a deep source of renewal.

Eagle Creek doesn't exist solely for my benefit or the benefit of members; it's designed to make it possible for most of my work to be accessible to all, regardless of their ability to contribute financially. Tim Carmody's concept of "unlocking the commons" resonates with me deeply because the destruction of the commons–whether public land, communal wisdom, or other sacred things that no one should own–is one of capitalism's primary strategies.

Though members of Eagle Creek will receive a few things that aren't broadly available to everyone, the point of this membership is to unlock the commons of A Wild New Work: the podcast, my weekly newsletter, and what I teach. My hope is that as this membership grows, so too does my capacity to share more with those who come to A Wild New Work thirsty and in need of renewal.

The real Eagle Creek:

Eagle Creek is a real body of Water that embodies how I want this tributary of my work to feel. They are a large creek (or small river) that flows peacefully among Old Growth trees and native plants. The Waters here are alive and inviting, with ancient stories to help us remember who we really are.

My intention is to visit Eagle Creek regularly and create a stronger bond between the "real" Eagle Creek and this virtual space, allowing the Waters there to show me what wants to flow through this container.

Who I am:

If you're new to A Wild New Work, welcome! It has been my joy to create and serve through this container for nearly 10 years now. My professional journey started in the field of Human Resources and has since evolved into a working life that follows the seasons and is guided by the wisdom of the Earth.

With my Sun in Virgo, I love to work hard; but in order for me to write, teach, and listen to the land as much as I know I need to, the truth is that I need the Village to come and help fortify this work so that it can deepen and reach more people. Eagle Creek offers me material support so I can walk a more mystical path and focus on two life-giving goals:

  1. To be a clear channel for the wisdom of the Earth and the ancestors

  2. To make the work I love to make

Some examples of the projects I hope to create as Eagle Creek grows include:

  • A monthly or seasonal "channeled from the Land" piece, in which I go and ask the Land for a message they want to share with our community

  • A series on what I've learned about holding space for others going through significant transformation over the last 10 years of working as a coach and vocational guide

  • A guide to daily and seasonal rituals to mark important transitions in one's soulful and vocational journey

Thank you for considering joining Eagle Creek–every person here is making the creekbed stronger, and it has a real, meaningful impact on me and my family.
