Weaving with the Ancestors:
Come and reclaim the gifts and power of your heritage in a gentle but sturdy container.
The Ancient Ones Are With You
Weaving with the Ancestors begins on April 7th, 2026
You came to this Earth, at this time, for a reason.
You carry within you threads that our frayed world desperately needs right now. And, you might be profoundly weary, tired of trying to find your way and make a life in this chaotic moment on Earth.
It's hard enough to try and be well and of service in this world. It's even harder if you've forgotten that there is a bright horde of ancestors ready to fortify you and help you bring your gifts into the world.
Weaving with the Ancestors is a chance for you to come and be replenished by the wisdom of your long-ago dead while also being reminded of why you're here and the healing legacy that you're a part of.
Honoring and communicating with the ancestors is a practice found across time and culture. From ancient grave mounds to modern-day Samhain practices, humans are still reaching out across invisible threads in order to connect with the power and wisdom on the other side.
Over eight intentional weeks together, we'll step into a collaborative process of re-establishing contact with your wise and well ancestors and weaving together a new understanding of who you deeply are and what you're here to do.
“I am so glad that I engaged in [Weaving with the Ancestors] with Megan, even though it felt a little out of my comfort zone. Having moved a lot across three countries during my life so far, I’ve always felt somewhat uprooted and ungrounded. Working through one of my ancestral lines over the course of the program helped me to connect with both recent and long-ago family. I started to feel more supported, grounded, and felt more rested (that last one I wasn’t even expecting!).”
How We Weave with the Ancestors
“Frigga Spinning the Clouds,” Guerber, 1909
The Otherworld is just on the other side of this one, and with our intention it's absolutely possible to weave together new connections and learn from those who have gone before us. By becoming aware of the invisible web of which we're a part and opening up to the guidance of our wise and well ancestors, we make it possible for new awarenesses and realities to organically emerge in our lives.
In each of our gatherings, we will engage in light trance after a period of teaching and discussion. In your meditative journeys, you will explore the village of your ancestors and ask to be shown what is meant for you that day.
We will cover a specific topic each week as we weave together a mended and sturdy web of understanding and support:
Week 1: Sitting Down to Weave: Ancestral Orientation
Week 2: Thread #1: Ancestral Village
Week 3: Thread #2: Your More than Human Kin
Week 4: Thread #3: The Gift House
Week 5: Thread #4: Ancestral Village Overlay
Week 6: Thread #5: The Gathering
Week 7: Innumerable Threads: Welcoming the Lost Dead Home
Week 8: Stitching in the Loose Ends
Where This Work Comes From
I was originally introduced to this work through a process called "Ancestralization," taught to me by a teacher named Old School Nate who learned it from Dr. Malidoma Somé, a Dagara elder from Burkina Faso.
Since I was introduced to Dr. Somé's work, I have been able to re-establish a connection with all four of my ancestral lines and have been guided by my wise and well ancestors into offering this course. Much of what I was taught is still woven into our class, but there have been some changes made as a result of my own experience and seeing what has worked for the students who have done it with me so far.
If you'd like to hear more about how I orient to this work, I invite you to check out the following podcast episode from 2025:
Who This is For
Weaving with the Ancestors is a spiritual process with immediate practical benefits. When our Grandmothers spun thread and wove cloth, they knew that their labor served both magical and mundane purposes. They were creating clothing or a tapestry, yes, but they were also spinning spells and invoking the gods on behalf of their community.
My intention is for your experience in this class to be useful–for your work here to enrich your daily life and also bolster your capacity to live into the gifts you bring to your community.
This class is not, primarily, about disseminating information. Part of what many of us have lost in the last two thousand years or more is an embodied, holistic connection to our own spirits and to our beloved dead.
While I will teach in each gathering, the material can only come alive if you're able and willing to connect with your own wise and well ancestors during and between when we meet.
Weaving with the Ancestors will be the best fit for you if:
You're open to the ideas in this course, even if you don't completely agree with them. I ask that you come with an open heart and mind and try these practices out before passing judgement.
You have the space to re-establish a relationship with your long-ago ancestors, which will require some attention and action (~30 minutes or more between our classes).
Your relationship to your lineage feels sturdy enough that you could look at family dynamics and patterns without becoming wholly dysregulated (we will go gently, but this work can bring things to the surface).
If you think Weaving with the Ancestors might be for you but you're not sure, feel free to contact me and ask questions.

A Bit About My Story
My life has changed significantly since re-establishing a connection with my wise and well ancestors.
When I became aware of their presence and asked for their support, I began to experience an ease and smoothness that I had never had before. Difficult things would still happen, of course, but the grinding crunchiness I'd been so used to in my life began to dissipate, and I felt more and more support flowing in.
My wise and well ancestors come from places today known as Germany, Britain, and Ireland. Over the course of capitalism's development, my peoples were assimilated into "whiteness," and were both harmed and the perpetrators of harm in that process. As I sit with these ancestors, they teach me about the rich cultures and profound intimacy with the land that they embodied before being swallowed into white supremacist culture. The tapestry of my life has become so much more interesting as a result of this renewed connection with them.
I bring this class to you because my ancestors have asked me to do so. Weaving with your ancestors is your right by virtue of being born, and you deserve to have full access to their sturdiness, wisdom, and love.
“Your work has shifted my entire life.”

As someone who lives inside of capitalism, I need money with which to pay my bills, buy food, etc. That said, it is your right to learn how to connect with your wise and well ancestors and weave a new life with them, and financial hardship should not prevent you from doing that good work if you feel ready for it.

If paying the standard registration fee would prevent you from joining us, please consider the following options:

You’re welcome to use the discount code FUNGUS100 at checkout to receive 100% off and pay $0. Click here to register.

Questions You May Have
What can I expect out of this program?
You can expect your relationship to yourself and your ancestors to be different by the end. You will finish our time together with clear avenues for maintaining the ancestral connections you’ve developed, and you will have offered the “lost dead” of your line a chance to come home and bring healing to this part of your heritage. Depending on how you engage with the material and what’s meant for you at this time, “outcomes” could look like new insights about your purpose and family patterns that have been passed down, big new openings and a renewal of energy, or a peacefulness that you haven’t experienced before. These are all outcomes that previous participants have reported.
What’s the time commitment for this program?
We’ll meet over 8, 90-minute sessions. There will be a week off halfway through to provide a chance for integration and catch-up. To ensure that you get the most out of this course, you’ll need time for our sessions as well as at least 30 minutes per week to work with the material between our gatherings.
What if I invest in this program and it starts to feel like the wrong thing?
I would never coerce you to continue if it turns out that this is not the right container for you at this time. If you begin the course and change your mind, you can choose to stop. Refunds aren’t provided for completed sessions, but a pro-rated amount would be returned to you.
